Workaround to help you set up the HomeKit accessory.

Based on some user feedback, the recent iOS upgrade may cause a HomeKit pairing issue. You can try the following steps to set up the accessory. This requires you to download the Meross app on your phone.

 

If you only use iOS:

1. Reset the smart device according to the user manual.

2. Keep the smart device in that mode for at least 15 minutes.

3. Open the Meross app, tap the + button on the home page, select your device model, and select the Non-HomeKit version to continue. For some models that don’t have the Non-HomeKit option, you can choose any other one from the device list.

4. Once you complete the setup and see the device in the Meross app, open the Home app and scan the QR code on the device to add it.

 

If you also use Android:

1. Reset the smart device according to the user manual.

2. Open the Meross app, tap the + button on the home page, and select your device model to continue.

3. Once you complete the setup and see the device in the Meross app, open the Home app on your iOS and scan the QR code on the device to add it.
